Women's Guild is sponsoring a Community Fun Day at Bob Evans restaurant on October 14 (Thursday) to support St. Mark's Church. This is an ALL day from 6 a.m to 9 p.m. We will earn 15% of sales when you present the special flyer when paying. Watch for fliers in the Church bulletins. Come for breakfast, lunch & dinner!! 50/50 tickets will be sold from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. the day of the event. Also you can purchase Bob Evans gift cards through the Scrip Program at church to use on this day.
The Annual Saint Mark Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 18 at Glenview Country Club.
Player registration will begin at all weekend Masses beginning August 7/8. If you have not played in our tournament before, you only need a golf handicap and the $80 registration fee. Last year a total of $1,800 was given to golfers in prize awards.
An excellent Golf Banquet will be held on the following day. By popular demand Vic’s Embers will cater the Banquet again this year.

On September 9 the Women’s Guild will sponsor a retreat at the San Pedro Spiritual Development Center. The San Pedro Center is located on 480 beautiful acres on Lake Howell in Winter Park.
The cost is $30 which includes round trip bus service, coffee & donuts upon arrival in the morn-ing at San Pedro, lunch & an afternoon beverage.
The retreat will be given by Deacon Bob Esposito.

We are preparing to begin our 2010-2011 R.C.I.A. Program
This program is designed for:
Adults who have never been Baptized, and who are interested
in becoming Catholics
Those who are Baptized into another denomination and have
an interest in becoming Catholic
Those who are Catholic and have not received Holy Communion
and /or Confirmation
We meet for weekly sessions from mid October to May to present
basic information about the Catholic Church, its teaching and its
beliefs.

Golf Cart Raffle
July 6, 2010
In conjunction with the Golf Tournament, the Saint Mark Men’s Guild is raffling the brand new, well-equipped E-Z-GO electric golf cart. The cart will be in the Church lobby for inspection.
The E-Z-GO dealer gave us a great price and Beyers Funeral Home purchased the cart. Thus all raffle ticket sales proceeds will go to Saint’s Mark Debt Reduction Fund.
Tickets will be available in the lobby before and after weekend Masses and the office during the week. Cost per ticket is $20.
Drawing is on September 4, 2010.

The Women's Guild will be meeting September 7 th. Our guest speaker is Tricia Bennet, owner of Polly's Pantry in Wildwood. Tricia is the owner of serveral books & she will be have them available for purchase. A good will offering will be taken to help support Tichia's orphanage.
The Parish Hospitality Ministry meeting will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. New members are always welcome! Come join us as we plan for upcoming events.
